'Salt on my skin' consists of abstract, mixed media canvases, collages and drawings. With this work I try to bring the internal, the things below the surface and often invisible to the eye to the surface. Through the creative process I try to familiarize those moments where the visible and the invisible meet. It comes from a yearning to connect within and to bring that which is below into a perfect balance with the outside. The senses are also an essential link between the inner and outer worlds. Only through the senses do we transcend isolation and make connection with a larger sphere.

To obtain this connection one has to float to a place of stillness.

Salt on my skin is the memory of such a place.
